So it's been quite a long time since I've done this, going from an FX9590 to an i7 5930k with an MSI XPower mobo and Corsair Dominator Ram.

How the hell do I go about getting it ready for the big swap later this week? Driver wise and whatnot.

You will likely need to reinstall Windows.

Oh, it's a gaming PC, I already have the parts on the way and it's all going in my 900D with my 290x's and SSD. I'm wondering how I can get the new board in there hopefully without having to completely reinstall Windows 7.

ok your asking if there's a way make your os ready for your intel cpu without reinstalling windows?

You could get away with not reinstalling Windows. Some people have.

You could get away with not reinstalling Windows. Some people have.

Would be preferable.
