I natively use 2560x1440 resolution on desktop and on games but if try to use 1920x1080 on games all the colors go really gray. This is only issue on really demanding games when i would like to use smaller resolutions.

 

Depends on the monitor, not all monitors interpolate very well, some are fine, some regrade substantially

 

Why not lower the details and keep the native resolution
