Stock corsair TIM

Go to solution Solved by brokencross,

AS5 is pretty good, but it takes some time to fully cure. I'm using it atm.

And yeah, AS5 is gonna lower the temps a bit (more or less 3ºC).

So, I'm replacing my single thin rad for an H105 from corsair. I know that TIM matters very little when it comes to real temps and that corsair puts decent TIM on their coolers, the thing is, I got arctic silver 5 and Zalman STG2 lying around and ...i hate waste, so, my question isnt if i should change the preapplied TIM, it's is it gonna actually afect performance in a negative way (idk why but i like applying TIM :P)

probably not, unless the amount you apply is too much and Corsair has the exact amount perfected.

I don't know about the Zalman but AS5 is worse than the Dow Corning that Corsair uses.
