Read Lords of Chaos if you are intested in music and obscure subcultures. It's a really good book, and it's really well written.

But my favorite book is still The Brothers Karamazov, but that is a fiction book.

Man, nonfiction? i was about to suggest to you Going Bovine by Libba Bray. It's about this 16 year old stoner who suffers from mad cow disease and is set out to find this doctor who supposedly is supposed to cure him, but it's just all going on in his head.
