Hi,

I'm thinking on taking the plunge and replace my 2x 970s for the 980 Ti (maybe, just maybe, also SLI... not sure yet), and my local retailer is listing a bunch of reference cards from various manufacturers.

Currently they are listing boost clocks of 1076 and 1190 Mhz, and the price difference is about (£38 / ~ $60).

My question is, is it worth paying for a higher boost clock?

Only if you dont plan on overclocking and even then if the price difference is too big then it is neglitible to pick the higher boosted card. If you will OC anyway just pick the card with the type of cooler you want on it and OC the shit out of it.

^ The Custom PCB cards will most likely be the only ones with different clock speeds, default speeds are used on reference cards. I made a list from Overclockers UK as you can see EVGA seem to you can ignore the reference section. [Taken from my post in another thread]

tl;dr - No, not really if you want to squeeze the best performance then yest but a 980ti will be pretty fresh so it shouldn't need any OCing unless you are into that.
