AAA Benchmarks but the display?

Go to solution Solved by Glenwing,

I understand what G sync is and how it functions. These charts are the first I seen where FPS dip below 20 with high-ultra settings. we all know 12 FPS is unbearable in any game. does g sync fix that and make it smoother without us noticing the FPS dips that low?

It'll be somewhat better but 12fps is still 12fps. Nothing in the world can make that feel smooth.

Came across this jsut now. Seems to be the most recent dated article on Nvidia cards with 1080p. 1440p, and 4K with pretty high end hardware. BUT they did not say what monitors they were using that I read. Going by what these charts say with such games as GTA 5 and Witcher3, would a g sync monitor improve the FPS or would the player not even notice the 15 FPS dips? Are these just regualr monitors they used do you think?

Scroll down a bit to see what I am asking about.

Other games are benchmarked too but for me personally, Im looking at Witcher 3 and GTA 5. Not sure why Hitman is still one of the games they use to do these tests since its like 3 years old. Anyways what do you think? GTZ 970 SLi 27-12 FPS. Would G sync make that better?

what monitor doesnt effect FPS. for example 480P. you can run it on a ancient TV or a brand new 4k monitor, if its at 480P it will get the same fps no matter what.

g-sync doesnt allow you to have more FPS. it just makes it smoother.
