Hi,

I have an ASUS G53JW laptop of which the graphics card gave out (GeForce GTX 460M). Laptop automatically switched off as soon as I turned it on. I removed the graphics card and it stayed on but didn’t show anything on the screen.

At this moment it has the Intel Core i7 820QM processor which as far as I know it do not have built-in GPU. Can I replace the processor with an Intel Core i5 430M which has a built-in GPU.

Replacing the graphics card is not an option.

Will this solve my problem, any help would be appreciated. Do know a bit of computers but when it comes to laptops not so much.

Here is the link of the processor I want to buy (Core i5 430M): http://www.amazon.com/Intel-i5-430M-Mobile-Processor-2-26Ghz/dp/B00S63RWAE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1433249277&sr=8-1&keywords=intel+i5-430M

Thanks
