Testing graphics card on the go

So I've had luck with the XFX R9 280x I bought from Craigslist, and I'm looking for another to run in crossfire. I came across an ad of four reference Radeon 7950's for $80 each. When I asked if I could see them boot up, he said he didn't want to have people come to his house. I was a little uneasy to buy them without seeing them post, so I was thinking of finding a way to test them on the go. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of bringing my PC in my car, and using a backup car or PC battery pack to test them quickly.. Since I need a battery pack anyway :P Just not sure how long my computer will run on it. Unless anyone can think of another way to go about this.

If you have a laptop you could get a cheap adapter that allows the card to be used but i dont know what ones work with what laptops

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

For $360 You could get another 280X and then some and not have to worry about the night mares of quad crossfire. Also if he has 4 of them and selling them for cheap he most likely drove them into the dirt with a bitcoin machine or something. Hell I would sell you a limited edition ROG Matrix platinum 280X for much less than that but it wouldnt match the xfx shroud and its a tripple slot card. Main question here is does your mobo and case have the room or support for quad crossfire cards? Hows your PSU? 4 Ref 7950s is going to sound like a blackhawk in your house and generate a lot of heat. Do you have the fans to push that heat out?
