I am currently planning on building a new rig after watch tons of Linus's videos and being convinced that it would be fun and intuitive. Also im on quite a tight budget(650$) this is what I have thus far:

CPU: AMD FX6300

GPU: AMD R7260x

MB: MSI ATX 970 Gaming MB

RAM: Crutial Ballstix sport 8 gb kit (4x2)

PSU: EVGA 500w 100-w1-0500-KR

Case: Rosewill Galaxy -01

Monitor: Acer S220HQL

Memory: WD 1tb blue harddrive + my currently owned 640gb laptop hard drive with running os

I also found out that i would need a wifi adapterwhich i have found.

I plan on using this computer for decent amount of gaming and simple internet business. What kind of Fps should I be expecting on the major game will be playing (minecraft).

Also would it be possible for me to host a server on a rig like this for my self and two friends for minecraft while playing on it at the same time, and if so will it be able to run mods?

I would really appreciate any suggestions given about current hardware and any info on what i should expect.

P.S

I am building from scratch.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

Personally I would go i3.. you have a decent upgrade path with a used i5 / i7 chip in a few years time

Grab a single stick or 2x4GB ram as it will leave room for more later if things get more memory hungry before your ready to replace.

I wouldn't bother with a HDD, grab an SSD and use the lappy hdd as media storage.

The windows you have on the laptop, if it came with it will be limited to the hardware of the laptop. Check first...

You can get a motherboard with wifi on it.. I would also possibly go Mitx to save on shipping costs.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Quote or @dzzope to get my attention..

after consider the i3 processor i thought it would be a good idea however when i went on amazong and tried to find a compatible motherboard that was eligible for shipping to my area i could now find anything within a reasonable price range.

Any other recommendations?

Thank you
