Is it good to mix up different ram brands with different speeds? Like if I put in a crucial ram with 1600 mhz with a kingston 1800 mhz.

It's not recommended, but it'll work. In the case you've given, the Kingston RAM will downclock to 1600MHz.

You could in theory but don't try it. You're better off buying the same RAM

They won't run together, so it'll be single channel.

I'm not sure about this but I think that all RAM will run at the lowest speed of another RAM... so 1600Mhz. correct me if im wrong forum!
