So if "DirectX12 will see and pool together all graphics resources in the system"

Does that mean that the SLi bridge will become obsolete in DX12 games?

And GPUs without one, for example the GTX 750 Ti, will be able to exist in multi-GPU configurations?

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

As for the first question, no they will not become obselete as not every game will support DX12. Many games haven't even transitioned to DX11.

I don't care about older games in this scenario. I am strictly talking about DX12 games.

I don't think you read my post correctly.

Notice the use of the word "will"

I STILL only care about DX12 games in this question, stick to the plot

You're asking if they will become obselete, I say no with a logical explanation, and you object. Don't understand the logic.

He meant "will they be obsolete for DX12 GAMES?"

At a guess I'd say it wont be as straight forward as it sounds (even the card manufacturers cant get it right with proprietary solutions how do you think game developers will fare) so probably not... but until it happens your guess is as good as mine (and everyone elses).

I still don't see what the issue is about. OP asked if SLI bridges will become obsolete once/if DX12 becomes the new API standard and @NeatSquidYT answered that. I don't see what the fuss is about - it makes no sense at all.

Exactly. Thanks.

Mayhaps the question can be altered to
"DX11 and below games will be using SLI bridges, but would DX12 games make use of them or will DX12 take care of it?"

Maybe that would be a better way to say the question? SLI Bridges won't go anywhere for DX11 and older games, but will DX12 games use them?

Nvidia already have the option of doing bridgeless sli, buy they dont. Dx12 has 3 different multi-gpu methods, one of which is the same as current method, so the ball is and always was in Nvidia's court.
