Usually my computer would boot up normally. I recently purchased a Corsair Vengeance M60 mouse and started to experience this problem. My BIOS screen would usually flash 2-3 seconds. However, after i switched to this mouse, my BIOS screen started to delay by approximately 20sec. I have updated my windows, installed appropriate drivers for the mouse, changed boot priority and made sure my BIOS drivers are up to date. Any help? ):

To make sure the mouse is the problem, unplug it and POST.

Also, the BIOS settings could've been messed with. Your BIOS may come with the ability to adjust how long the Splash screen stays.

I tried my other mouse and it works well. Only having problem with this. Could it be the internal memory problem or something?

I tried using my previous mouse and the screen shows only for 2 - 3 secs

It may be the mouse firmware. If possible, try updating it.

You have another computer you can try the mouse on? Perhaps a friend's computer.

I shall try it tmr. Its pass 1am here. Haha. Thanks for the feedback though. However, if it works on other system? Where could the problem lie?

May be something to do with the mouse recognition.

If mouse works well on another PC, that is compatibility problem. You should check your BIOS options for example: "USB legacy support" or something similar, something stupid like that can potentially solve your problem (tho. it is unlikely).

Other way around is to look at BIOS update (I don't recommend it, tho it should all go fine most of the time), in some cases, mb. manif. provide BIOS with updated gaming mouse compatibility etc.

But before you even consider BIOS update, try everything you can, BIOS settings, boot settings (maybe your first boot device is USB key, and for some reason, it makes conflict and "confuse" motherboard BIOS).

Keep them coming guys.

For the "USB legacy support" should it be turned on or off? Tentatively, mine's on. My BIOS is already up to date and first boot device is already set as Hard Disk( my ssd ) followed by USB and CD.

Yw, I guess it should stay enabled for compatibility, but you can disable to test it, and depends from usage, you can choose to enable or disable, for example, i keep it disabled, since it is not needed to me atm,

Try it disabled, if makes any difference, if not, leave it enabled. Try mouse on another PC as others suggested ;).

Did you plug the mouse into a USB2 or USB3 port?

USB 2. My motherboard is ECS A785GM-M. Only have USB2

I had a similar issue on my sabertooth z77. Try disabling fast boot, because despite its name, it appears to slow everything down when it perceives multiple mice or keyboards connected. Also, set it to display post report and tell us how many mice and keyboards it detects. Having disabled fast boot, I now have a really annoying issue where my computer takes a while to POST if my flash drive is NOT connected (still quicker than fast boot though), because it gets automatically added to the boot order when I boot with it, but when I delete it, once I boot with it unplugged then with it plugged in again it goes back on the list. It's kinda annoying.

Where do you adjust those settings? In the BIOS? Or in windows?
