Is this good?

Go to solution Solved by rafazafar,

when you do a bios update yeah but not out of the box, but thats what is told to me

not all are like that. New h81/h85/h87 boards always come with bios that supports haswell refresh.

The older ones but still being manufactured also come with updated bios.

But if you get an old stock with older bios, then you need that bios update.

i have personally used a few asrock budget-as-hell boards with the g3258, works out of the box. not the latest bios but still supports the refresh.

esp. rev2.0 or updated variants. check on the manufacturer website.

plus the i5 4440 isnt a haswell refresh. its just haswell :) so all 81 85 87 mobo will work :)

What is up with the color of the font in some places?

1) What are you wanting to do with it?

2) What's your budget and location?

3) Please use http://pcpartpicker.com

4) There's no particular performance benefit in using an i3 in anything over an h81m board, so I wouldn't go for the H97 board unless you are planning to upgrade to a much higher end chip relatively soon.

Sig under construction.

Personally i would get a cheaper motherboard. theres really not much of a reason to go h97 with your other hardware
for example = http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-h81mhds
As for "future  proofing" untill skylake is rather meaningless. Use that money save to bump up to a core i5 :)

bout 25$ saved from mobo + additional 30$ = i5 4440. Really really recommend it.
