Im looking at this and its all gibberish to me. I literally just want to set an aggressive fan curve for my 212 evos fan. I dont care about noise btw, i wont hear it over the 2 giant room fans i have going anyways.

So how on earth do you use this? I dont see anything that would lead me to believe it can change my fan speed, or set fan curves. I know it has something to do with PWM or whatever but. Yeah this programs a veritable mess.

Speedfan has never once worked for me, ever. I thought it was some old outdated crap at first but I guess people still use it

You should see if you can adjust your CPU fan curve in the BIOS first before going to any software

Nude Fist 1: i5-4590-ASRock h97 Anniversary-16gb Samsung 1333mhz-MSI GTX 970-Corsair 300r-Seagate HDD(s)-EVGA SuperNOVA 750b2

Name comes from anagramed sticker for "TUF Inside" (A sticker that came with my original ASUS motherboard)

It can be EXTREMELY confusing at first. Videos can explain it best.

EDIT: Here's another. Shorter and more to the point.

EDIT  v2: You'll want to make sure to rename fan headers and up the "Warning temperatures" for components to keep speedfan from maxing out your fans once things heat up, @MahtXL .

I don't do signatures.

This.... Using the motherboard's bios, its way easier to understand than speedfan. (Plus you don't need another program running now do you?)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Yeah, but speedfan offers more control. That makes all the difference for me personally.

Yeah thats fair enough, some people prefer it that way.

If you are not worried about noise at all then I would recommend trying mobo settings first. Speedfan is great but it does take a while to figure out and configure to your liking. The videos linked by others should get you where you want to be if you take the speedfan route. I love it but it's definitely not for everyone.
