Hey,  I am fairly new here on the forums and would like some feedback on how my build is.  This build is at the top of my budget, so i cant go much higher.  I am not a huge gamer, but i play games like MX Sim and Cities Skylines.  Will this GPU hold up? I am also a bit weary on the PSU, but i think BitFury is a reputable brand.  Anyways Thanks for the feedback!

Why the crap would you buy a r9 270 for 229 dollars!?

You can buy a reference r9 290 for less than that, and an aftermarket cooler one for 20 dollars more.

Switch that to an r9 280x at least.

It is only $173 on newegg though...  i have seen good review of it.  Is the 280x much faster?

The 280x would be a much better investment at your budget than the 270, a 280x will be able to max out pretty much every game at 1080p, and will play many games at decent graphics at higher resolutions.

get a gtx 960, and instead of the h97, get the msi z97 pc mate,.

What? The 280x way outperforms the 960, that would be a waste for something that actually costs the same or more than the 280x.

How about this...

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3Xkfcf

About the motherboard that you suggested, i cant stand that it is blue and the rest of the build is red.  I think i will stick to the motherboard i have.  Thanks though

Get a single 240GB+ ssd. Less expensive and as good or better performance in the real world.

Little point in getting an unlocked processor with an H97 motherboard. Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor or Intel Core i5-4590 would be better choices.

Gigabyte GV-R928XOC-3GD REV3 would be a better gpu choice.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

The Fury is a bit overpriced, and the CX is definitely overpriced and pretty poorly built

Look at XFX TS/XTR, Antec HCG, EVGA B2/GS/G2, of which some will be similarly priced and all are better built
