First off, I just wanna say hello to my fellow techies as I am new to this forum haha.

I thought I'd start off with a few questions I had in mind as I believe they are reasonable questions.

As for my first question, about how much money do you guys think I could get out of my Galaxy GTX 670 2gb? I have literally never overclocked it because I haven't had the need to. It is basically in perfect condition.

I'm on sort-of a tight budget atm so would it be fine to get a 960 4gb or should I dish out the extra $80 - $100 for a 970? OR would I be better off waiting a few more months for prices to drop? I only game at 1080p and I don't intend on moving on to 4k anytime soon so that should help. Also, for all air coolers out there, my last question is do you think it is necessary to have a fan controller in your rig? (as in the piece of hardware that you add to your system)

I'd appreciate any and all information on these topics, thanks. :D

no idea for how much you can sell the 670, check your local second hand market to check suitable prices. On the other hand, do not buy a 960. It is not a good card, low price/performance ratio. Get a 970 or a r9 290.

Fan controlers are totally not needed, their only use is to reduce the noise outpout of your system.

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

I agree with this, you really want to be upgrading to a 970 or 290 if possible, that would be the most noticeable upgrade for you.

Also, people tend to think that you dont need to go higher than say a 290 or 970 for 1080p gaming and that may be true for the vast majority of games out there, but I just finished testing the Titan X (which is the most powerful GPU right now) and that is the only card I have tested that can max out GTA 5 (fully maxed) at 1080p and do 60fps+ so some games out there will still require heaps of GPU power even at 1080p.
