Hey guys, so I'm gatting a bunch of stuttering that is making the game almost unplayable, I have no clue what's causing it. Here are my specs, Pentium g3258 (OC to 4.4ghz), Gtx 770 4gb 8gb ram. I've tried at high settings, low settings. Still nothing. Does anyone know a quick fix for this?

ummm... your cpu ...its dual core... min req is 4 cores. I know g3258 is fast but yeah...

No, recommended is quad core, minimum is a core 2 duo lol, but anyway. That shouldn't be giving stutters, low performance maybe, but not lagspikes like crazy. I could be wrong but I've seen tons of gameplay with it and there's no stutters, just lower fps.

Single 770, gigabyte gaming g1 version

That's suspicious. It shouldn't be happening. Try updating your video card drivers if you haven't already.

I can see why @Tom is a Door points to your CPU, but I doubt it's the CPU. Microstuttering isn't caused by bottlenecks. It might be a driver issue.

I have the latest drivers installed, it might just be gta v, I've had tons of issues with that game alone.

here check this out, or just google it, I know it is completly playable in dual core as well; try closing down background process things that are just junk, even anti virus- last time didn't give you an answer-

Minimum is quad core. Getting it to work on 2 cores is one thing, but it 's not meeting minimum spec. Not what the OP wants to hear, so all I can suggest is drivers.

Apparently it's within the latest patches of the game, it cripples dual cores.

shows decent framrate and smooth gameplay, in the comments the OP says that it stutters now, oh well.

only games that cpu is any good for are LoL, WoW, Starcraft, any old mmo or rts. I feel bad for everyone that got this CPU because it was highly praised by reviews. It is a great CPU just not for AAA gaming. Just gotta save up for an i5 or i7 which I hope was your plan anyway with that CPU.

Everything else runs just fine on it, I've been playing bf4, bf hardline, cod AW, titanfall, witcher 3, it's only GTA V that gives me this, but yea, I was planning to upgrade to a locked i5 down the line, this is just a budget system I put together.

Pentium g3258 (OC to 4.4ghz)

Enjoy your two threads!

Only solution is limit fps with MSI Afterburner to 30/40

AMD 860K @ 4.3GHz ; Kingston HyperX Fury 2400MHz ; Asus A88XM-Plus ; Sapphire R9 270X 2GB ; 600W Tacens Radix VII AG 80+Silver  ; Cooler Master TX3 Evo
