Upgrade question

hello,

 

I want to upgrade my computer (fx 6100 and sapphire 6870 8 gb ram gigabyte 990fxa 750 watt psu). So my plans are: upgrade gpu to gtx 970 and NEXT year a i7 4770k, MSI z97, 8 or 16 gb ram. The reason I upgrade my gpu first is that I want to play some higher end games (no witcher 3 or games that heavy) like battlefield and far cry (gta 5 etc). And next year my cpu, mobo and ram and THEN I'm going to play the Witcher 3 or games that heavy because I know there will be a bottleneck but I just want to play some games first and then I'm going to ''expand'' (you know what mean..... hopefully ). my question is: is this a good planning or do I need to do something else? Thank you

yeah, when you upgrade your fx6100 will be a bottleneck. but a fx6100 with a 970 will have a higher frame rate then a I7+6870

Your FX6100 will bottleneck the crap out of the 970. Maybe get Motherboard first and a 4690k? 4770k isn't needed in gaming. Get 16GB when you have random spending money.

Do yourself a favor and buy an i5, alongside an R9 280.
