1. It's secondary school, not high school

2. It's harder than GCSE, but you also have less subjects and more freedom than school. You could go to college, but I'm honestly not a fan (no offense), or leave school entirely if you wanted if you didn't want to do a levels.

3. A levels get you into university, and that's about it I think

@asim1999 I was at college for a while, well... 4/5 months. But got an IT Apprenticeship instead half way through. Totally worth it, try and get a good apprenticeship.

I have friends doing A-levels and they are struggling, one is doing French and History and the other is doing Physics and Maths, and they both say that all of it is really hard.

I'd say go for it, you will feel the pain of A levels, but by the end you won't regret it.

such luck much wow, haven't been here for a long time and this is the most recent post.

short answer: Yes (you should go to uni)

A-levels are not much harder, especially since you mave much fewer subjects, physics and computing seemed to be easier than last year(GCSE).

Maths is probably the main jump especially if you do further maths. Physics A2 is also much harder than physics AS

I'd second going for an apprenticeship if you can. If you're looking at going into the tech industry, a lot of places will look for experience, not just qualifications.

High school = Secondary School

Secondary school != High school

Secondary School = High School+Middle School

Yeah, and you get a bit of money on the side. Without the apprenticeship would have no money for a car or anything.

yes but if you are going into IT then do btecs. seriously its stupid how easy it is in comparison to A-levels.

think about this, im getting offers from imperial and south hampton. I failed A-levels because i took on too many hard subjects but with the same work ethic im destroying these btecs, so much so that i managed to learn properly java, C# and nearly C++ in my spare time. Unis like people that have the ability to do something useful in their spare time. even if you arent going uni it will certainly open amny more doors for you. Btecs might be bad at GCSE tier but during yr12,13 its pretty awesome lol.

Doing BTEC will also get you into University, you just need the grades that they state on the course you wanna do. For example, Distinction, Distinction, Merit etc.
