Are mechanical switches worth it?

It's all subjective. I upgraded to a K70 with MX Browns and it felt a lot better, but that's because the tactile click feels better for me. Membrane boards were too mushy and would make my fingers and wrists sore when typing papers.

 

You'll have to try one and see what you think. It takes a few days to get used to any sort of change, tho.
