Go to solution Solved by Dietrichw,

which one would you say is better? the antec or the evga? :/

I would say the Antec with the higher efficiency rating and an extra 20 Watts

Hey guys!

I need you help again,

I am building a budget computer and power wise i have narrowed it down to 2 power supplies

The first option is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Antec-NEO-ECO-520C-Supply/dp/B00DTP0BNO/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1432415310&sr=1-1&keywords=neo+520w+psu

My second options is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/OCZ-OCZ-CXS500W-UK-CoreXStream-Power-Supply/dp/B007SU2QRK/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1432415295&sr=1-2&keywords=ocz+psu

My current hardware i have is:

AMD FX 4130

NVIDIA GT 630

Gigabyte 970A-UD3P Motherboard

8GB 1600mhz Corsair Vengance ram

Bitfenix Neos

I need you guys to help me decide!

I should also mention in the future i will be upgrading to a fx 8350 and a gtx 960!

Thankyou!

I would say the Antec as it has 80+ Bronze certification.

that is how I bought my Power supply. PCpartpicker and filtered it by 80+ certification, wattage,  and price

Have you considered an AMD APU with that setup?

Different PCPartPickers for different countries:

UK-----Italy----Canada-----Spain-----Germany-----Austrailia-----New Zealand-----'Murica-----France-----India

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

an APU would make more sense as kaveri has better IPC and an integrated GPU which is useful when trouble shooting and maybe work as a co-processor in the future with DX12 but a FX4130 is really affordable

either one works as they both meet 80+. It is a trade off of price, Bronze level certification, and 20 watts

Antec is hands down better then the EVGA.

It's not just because higher efficiency and wattage but also Antec is better OEM (Seasonic) and performs better

^ This is the best answer.

@RaymondL the Antec Neo Eco is based off the Seasonic S12II platform, which vastly outperforms the EVGA 80+. It will perform better and last longer.
