So i am a noob when it comes to the 700 series, as I joined the PC community just a few months ago. All i know is that the 780ti was the best card of the 700 series. I saw a GTX 770 at best buy for $280, brand new. Is it worth getting it? or should I just get a 900 series card?

Or this, which is even cheaper then the 770 and with a slight OC (to 290X speeds) can easily compete with the 970... http://pcpartpicker.com/part/powercolor-video-card-axr92904gbd5ppdhe

If this is OC to reach r9 290x performance then who the hell will buy a 290x?

The 290x can also be oc'ed.

Well it's from PowerColor, a relatively cheap brand for one. I don't think many people are buying them right now either.

Worth it.
