1440p Gaming PC setup

1. Budget & Location

I live in Australia, looking to spend about $3000 AUD.

 

2. Aim

Gaming at 1440p resolution with ultra settings on most recent games. I do play a bit of all sorts whether it be Battlefield, Skyrim, Minecraft, Far Cry, Tomb Raider, anything really. So looking at performance at high and low end of spectrum. 

 

Also will be doing some video editing. So performance in that regard is also key! 

 

 

Only looking for a CPU, CPU Cooler (Air cooler preferred), Motherboard, GPU/GPUs, Memory (16GB preferred), SSD (have a 4TB HD), PSU, Optical Blu Ray Drive,  and some extra fans to match the NZXT Phantom 820 White ATX (also what would be a good setup for best airflow?) 

Going for a Black & White colour scheme .

3. Monitors
Acer Predator XB270HU 2560 x 1440p 144Hz IPS Gsync Monitor (27"). Awaiting arrival . 

 

I have linked one I thought of using. Not sure if the CPU Cooler will cut it as I am looking at over-clocking. Does not include the fans as I am not sure what configuration would be optimal (then I can look at getting SP or AF fans in various locations).

2nd one is better if your doing insane rendering like constant youtube videos 1st one is better for gaming will get 120fps 1440p

Is the Blue-ray optical drive a necessity, or do you only want the ability to read blue-ray disks if ever need be?

Is the Blue-ray optical drive a necessity, or do you only want the ability to read blue-ray disks if ever need be?

I would prefer to have the blu ray capability, as it is reverse compatible with other standards.
