Hello,

I was wondering if an AMD FX-8350 4.0Ghz would bottleneck a GTX 770. I am upgrading every part of my computer and I need to know if the FX-8350 will be able to handle it.

Thanks!

(P.S I hope I put this in the right section)

No, you won;t be bottlenecked even with 2 770's.

I didn't think so, thanks. Now, I'm going to buy the 770 first and I have to wait to get the processor and mobo next month. Will my current processor, an AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black edition at 3.2 bottleneck? Thank you for the help.

Heya,

mmm, no the CPU won't bottle neck your single 770 (when you receive it  :D )

If you chose to run 2 770s in SLI, it will defo bottle neck.

This is just based on current gaming scenario's. Hopefully, next generation games will utilise multicore processing better. In which case, I believe it will become the bottleneck  ^_^

Wow! I expected you to say it would. Thank you very much, and the rest of the guys, for a fast response.

At the moment, gaming isn't optimised well for multcore CPUs. Providing you got a good clock speed, you will handle all that punishment the CPU has to calculate.

With the new gaming consoles. We all suspect better utilisation of CPU cores. To me, it feels like a "hold  your breath, for the deep plunge", and the CPU race will begin, again  :D
