Gigabyte or EVGA Overclocked 780?

Hi Guys,

Planning a new build, but not sure which graphics card to go for.

I'm split between two different Nvidia GTX 780's.

Gigabyte GTX 780 Windforce 3X OC

 or

EVGA GTX 780 Superclocked with ACX cooler

http://eu.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=03G-P4-2784-KR&family=GeForce%20700%20Series%20Family&uc=EUR

I've seen a few benchmarks of these cards and have seen them outperform the Titan in some games, which is Awesome!

If anyone has experience with either of these cards, your input would be appreciated.

cheers,

J

Pretty much the same, I would suggest both of these cards, think gigabyte one is somewhat cheaper? You could go for the looks, some people really dislike the new gigabyte cooler for some reason.

One thing i REALLY hate about that WF cooler is that dumb plastic extension sticking out the side that you see when you have it in ur rig. I really dont understand why gbyte just HAD to put the WF branding there. Anyways, Go for the ACX, Ive had mine for about 2 weeks now, and i can honestly say it was worth every penny. It runs cool/super quiet even under full load and ocd to 1176mhz! It also uses a reference 780 pcb so it will work with any titan/780 waterblock backplate :D

I think I've decided, EVGA!

Will look much better in my new build.

Whats the power comsumption like on your 780??

I only ask because I was wondering if a Corsair HX750 Watt PSU would be able to handle two of them if I wanted to add one later down the line.

The power cosumption for my entire rig is about 450 watts, and with another 780 it would be upwards of 650-700. So i think you should be more than fine with ur psu :)
