when i simply shut down my pc after a longtime being ON , the monitor goes off then the case itself still on for few secs then goes off, but after 3~4secs the pc boot again ! lol , from a completely shut down !! it scares me actually .. but when i shut down it again, it doesnt boot by itself anymore and i just have to boot it by myself like any pc ..

so what the problem could be? also i hear a loud fan when i boot the pc for 3secs then it goes normal (and i think/sure its the cpu) because by watching it, it simply keeps on 0% for 2secs after turning on the pc then it runs fast ! for 3secs then it goes on normal speed .

the fan spinning up to max is common. it is usually the gpu fan that does it but it is essentially a test of the fan, nothing to be concerned about unless it stays at max for extended periods of time. as for the rebooting, this can be a bit trickier to nail down. it might be software related, it could be the psu, it might be your power switch. first thing to do is to unplug your power switch and reset switch from your motherboard before shutting down the pc. if the problem persists, check to see if you have the latest bios for your motherboard. other than that, unless you have a spare power supply, or can borrow one from a friend for testing, i can't think of anything else you can try.

a word of warning. don't update your bios without knowing what you are doing. make sure you know the proper steps as this can render your motherboard useless if you don't do it properly. check your motherboard manual to see if they have any bios utilities, and if you're still not comfortable doing it, you can skip this step. however it is entirely possible that your bios could cause this.

i have a similar issue with my pc and sleep mode, where it will randomly boot back up cause... reasons. i haven't had the time to nail down the issue and have just resorted to shutting down instead lol.

My rig:

well about the gpu spinning, when i was watching it while booting the pc, the cpu fan doesn't spin for 1~2sec then it spins fast and actually the sound starts when it spins, then it goes to the normal speed after 2secs of loud spinning,

and about the rebooting .. okay idk really i dont think its the psu since i didn't face any sudden restarts or crashes or shut downs, even while playing high graphics games. the psu is thermaltake 730w se smart .. seriously i've been wondering what the hell it could be ? how it just turn on after a completely shut down .. lol its like a ghost

Could be the bios and it could be the psu, just because it doesn't shut down automatically doesn't rule it out in this case. The psu admittedly isn't very likely but it could be that. It could also be the power/reset switch.

The only way to find out what is causing it is to rule things out one at a time

I had a Asrock board that was doing the same thing and the dehumidifier function was the problem.

dehumidifie well, mine is Gigabyte

and which thing u mean the fan speed or the rebooting after a completely shutdown?

.. this is gonna be hard for me to replace the psu even if i have a spare one

2nd how the power switch could be a problem?

3rd if its a psu problem as u said, and im not facing any sudden shut down or restart or crash, i can ignore this problem and keep going? i mean for the reboot after a completely shut down and the fast fan speed for 2secs when i boot the pc .

Both actually but never saw that function on a Gigabyte board, it powers up the system with 100% fan speed.

See if you have WOL (wake on LAN) enabled and also check if the CMOS battery is bad.

you are misunderstanding what i am saying. i am saying it COULD be caused by the psu, it COULD be caused by the power switch, it COULD be caused by the bios, it COULD be caused by a feature of the motherboard. all of these components are part of the system that turns on the computer and are all potential points of failure. troubleshooting is a process, not a solution. you eliminate potential causes until you find the cause of the problem. then you solve the problem.

no one on the internet will be able to tell you that this IS caused by something, computers are complex, the best we can do is tell you what can cause something.
