Atleast it's not a Mac.. I know a lot of Youtubers buy $1,500 macs then edit off them. I guess it's nice if you've g the money but some youtubers that also live stream have like 3 PCs, one for gamings,streaming, and editing. It's crazy. Build looks good to me.

If your using Adobe you can use CUDA acceleration features of the 970.

Why such a good graphics card for editing?

Didn't know a 280x is "too good" for editing, what GPU would you recommend?

I think the xeons hyper threading benefits moe

It performs the same as the 4790K, I can't find any benchmarks on it but I know Linus showed it beating it at some point.

But isn't the 4790K better for single-threaded applications? Rather than video-editing-rendering which are multi-threaded applications?

Yes, the 4790K has better single threaded performance. It also performs better in editing, which is multi threaded...

 

I remember reading in benchmarks previously the 8350 Is about even to the 4690 in multithreaded tasks such as editing.

 

As I said previously, I can't find any solid benchmarks right now, but Linus Recommends it for Editing in this video

 

As well as lots of pros using these CPU (2131/ 4790)'s as "Budget Editing" CPU's.

If you need computer for editing use intels stuff (because of CUDA cores). You should spend as much as you can on your CPU, because it will speed up your rendering time A LOT!

Also dont forget RAM. For editing its good to have at least 16gigs or better 32gb.

If you are planing on overcloacking choose a Motherboard that doesn't heat a lot and choose best CPU cooler as you can afford.

SSD will speed up your computer so defenitly don't go without one.

For more info check samandniko's channel on yt, few days ago they released tutorial how to balance your money on editing/gaming computer.
