Hearing a sound every minute in windows

Hello guys,

As the title says i hear a sound that sounds like when you get prompted to allow a program to start.

it started after i installed a new version of windows 8.1

I just found out the sound is called critical stop

Its supposed to be like that. You mean those pop-ups when it asks you to confirm that you are an admin etc.?

Sounds like it's that sound indeed. That would be normal if a program was starting, but I read between the lines that it happens every minute even when the PC is idling.
