Math Puzzle Help

So every week we have a "Problem of the Week" for math. It's nearing the end of the year and they seem to have gotten ridiculously hard over the past 2 weeks. I can't figure out any way to start this one.

I guess you would just have to guess different digits once it fucks up change it? Looks like it would take a while.

I'll have aome free time in an hour so I'll look at it. English is not my first language but I'll try. Looks fun though.

I think the way to start this one is with 16 across and then 17 down, I can't seem to figure out much more

Maybe, but I just saw 30 down: sum of it's digits is 29 across which means the first 3 digits of 29 are 0 and the last is the same as the last of 30 down. 

Well at least that's what I make of it

Yah, I got that far, but then if  after getting 17 down you can't go much further.
