hyperx cloud 2 amp

I'm buying my first pair of headphones for my new gaming PC and it seems the hyperx cloud 2 are the way to go. I have an X99-A, and I'm not sure if I should get an external amp. Do I need an amp? If so, what's a good amp?

Why the HyperX clouds 2s over the 1s? The Cloud 2's have some cheap surround sound, ( they aren't good, any surround sound in headsets are bad) The mic isn't as quality as the 1s and they are cheaper. Sorry I'm not answering your question but the Cloud 2's seemed like they went a little cheap on.

Don't need a external dac/amp should be good to go.

The built in amp should be fine.

I just kinda closed my eyes and my finger landed on them. Truth is, it's a pain in the ass finding the headphones you want when all you can do is look at them online. I'd have no problem dropping 150-200 if I liked the headphones after trying them out. I don't really care about the mic either, just want the best sound experience for my games
