I've used Adblock and all it does is slow the browser down. The way it handles parsing page content is extremely slow. You don't have to run much extensions in Chrome because each process is sandboxed and your antivirus will block most bad stuff anyhow. The only extension that I run is Disconnect. The reason I run it is because of how it accelerates surfing meanwhile blocking tracking. Stock Chrome with Disconnect is all I run and when I surf sites like LTT the each page loads instantly.
