So I was looking for a gaming laptop under 2000 U.S dollars and I was wondering if anyone would post some good cheap gaming laptops they know.

Lenovo Y50 is decent.  So is the Asus ROG G551j

"Cheap" Under $2000, May I ask why a laptop? You could build one even better for about $1800 including a nice monitor and peripheals

True he could build one, but he may need a laptop since he may be on the go a lot.

Save up a few more bucks and get the Razer Blade. It's nothing new, and its not cheap, but it has some pretty good specs and above all, it's actually light. No point in having a portable computer unless it's actually portable. Other "gaming" laptops that are like 2 inches thick and 15 pounds are NOT portable in my mind.

The thing is i don't need it to be smaller than a quarter and weigh like two pounds. All i need is for it to not be a 75 pond tower. My weight limit is 9 pounds.

Weighs just under 6 pounds, has a backlit RGB keybord :)

Thank nice find i just found something myself could you guys help me find out if its worth the price.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NVV2B98/?tag=tecnewcen07-20

Difference between mine and yours, Mine has a SteelSeries RGB keyboard, yours Idk it's backlit red, mine has a 128gb SSD which result in way faster boot times, plus mine has an extra 3gbs of Video ram. So if you think that's worth an extra $300 then get the MSI. If not get the ASUS, both are very nice :)

Its hard to say. But no matter which one i choose thank you for all you're help however i am still open for more ideas. I have 15 day so if anyone has any other ideas feel free.

If you've got 15 days search around more, so far the ASUS or MSI are great, they have the best bang for the buck in my opion :)

there are plenty of gaming laptops that are less than an inch thick and cost less than $2000.  Think of the Lenovo Y50 or the HP Omen or the MSI GS70 Stealth.

My suggestion is the Clevo P770ZM or P750ZM. Should be at your weight limit and they're the best performance machines on the market, regardless of what this forum may tell you.

PLEASE. PLEASE. If someone's budget limit is anything over $1300, do not suggest a Y50. It is not a good laptop. And HP laptops too are not very good.

If you want super thin, GS70/GS60 or gigabyte P35x/P37x

If you want thin but don't mind it being over 1" thick (which you shouldn't >_>) then P650SE/P670SE are the way to go. Clevo brought the thunder this round. Nobody else can compete this time.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

That price for a 970M is alright, but it is rather thick at 1.9 inches, and rather heavy.
