Damn, didn't work for me, can you show me your settings in GTA V, I could try them out.

So yeah, I've tried to find a solution for this, but I haven't found anything what would fix this issue.

My GPU usage sometimes drops from 99% to 15% and it constantly drops to 50-80% which is causing annoying fps issues.

So if any of you knows what might be the problem, help me out please.

I took that when I were playing GTA V.

 

E: I want to add that I haven't had this issue in any other games.

i think there's a huge memory leak with gta v , it fills my 30gb pagefile and then some ... then after 40 min it'll crash my pc

What the heck are you doing that needs 120%+ Power Limit?  Mine never goes above 80% in VHigh-Ultra.

I think its caused by 3.5GB VRAM issue but iam not specialist so i think this may cause it or scan for viruses

Probably a GTX 970 Strix, see my sig.

So you're just going to randomly guess it has something to do with the 3.5GB thing? Why, why just randomly guess some populistic thing.  If you're this uninformed that you can only regurgitate populistic shit, I suggest you observe some more before you start troubleshooting.

 

@Jumals can you also please log the CPU load?

Did some Overclocking and forgot to bring that down, I want to note that this issue has nothing to do with my OC, the same thing happens on stock settings.

 

Oh and I have Zotac GTX 970 (Not the AMP version).

 

@Majestic Sure I can make make a log for you about my CPU load as well.

You're going over the 3.5 GB limit of your card (dumb i know, it's a 4GB card lol).

Lower textures and filters until you don't go over that 3.5 GB mark..

BTW, at 1080P, my 980 peaks at about 3.850GB usage with GTA V at mostly max settings... So.. Have fun with that..

Didn't even notice, might as well try to lower the settings and see what happens, I'll set the settings at normal and see what happens.

 

E: Nope, it's still happening, still the same effect as before but now it shows up more like as stuttering.

The fps drops too but not low as before because the settings was on normal.

I got 1 rig with GTX970, what is the resolution you run it with? In GTA5 i use close to maximum settings and still get memory load greatly under 3500M, resolution is 1080p.

Second pc with 1440p screen runs greatly over 4000M with maximum settings, Titan X is beast.

My pagefile is 32Gb with 64Gb ram, doesnt matter tho got one of those 2500/1400M Read/Write M.2 SSD's.

Second pc with 1440p screen runs greatly over 4000M with maximum settings, Titan X is beast.

Forgot to mention the resolution but I'm using 1080p.

It''s the grass.

Even my 980 dips a bit in the country, where there is more grass, and turning down the grass settings makes it better.

Btw, I'm using MFAA, idk if that can affect..

 

It needs to be set from nvidia's control panel as only few cards supports it (Far as I know only GTX 900 series and the newest titan).

 

I'll use x4 MSAA as x8 just tanks my fps to 40-50.
