About to start building my first computer, I am looking to just put in 4GB of ram, and was curious as to if once it is built, and if i want to put in new ram, can I just switch them out?

Yes

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

Yes you can. If you have 2 DIMMS filled you can swap them, but if you have 4 DIMMS just add another 2 sticks.

You can replace them but If you add get the same dimms

Just because you don't care, doesn't mean other others don't. Don't be a self-centered asshole. -Thank You a PSA from the people who do not say random shit on the internet.

RAM is like the easiest part of system. Just buy whatever and jam it into the DIMM slots. Just make sure you use the same dimms or else you'll get slightly worse performance.
