38°C is not too hot for simple internet usage. Many don't realize but even watching a video on Youtube is quite intensive.

If it doesn't exceed 75 °C (Intel)/ 85°C (AMD) under load, then you'r fine.

Fyi, please use the proper English structure for a sentence.

That means:

- Periods

- Capital I's.

- Capitals in general

It's too hot for surfing the internet because your understanding is flawed. That temperature's perfectly fine.

i guess then my friend donest know as much as he says he said a cpu should never go above 85F while gaming but he does have a top of the line cooler and good airflow i just thought it was based on what he siad

That'd be Celsius he was saying (or at least meaning), not Fahrenheit.

Sig under construction.

A CPU can jump from 30 degrees to 40 degrees in a few seconds, and from 40 to 60 in a few seconds aswell, are you sure these reading were constant?

Also 38 degrees for surfing the net is absolutely fine, your computer is always doing stuff in the background so "surfing the net" is not the computer at idle

yeah at idle when i shut off my pc then booted into my bios and waited like 15 min it was at 30-32c but im guessing thats normal for AMD at least? and i gamed on gta 5 (the most intensive game i have) for 10 min and it was only at 41c so im guess thats not bad but then again it was only for 10 min
