I don't need any of the peripherals

What kind of dollars are you using? Is a copy of Windows needed?

Wanting to build a gamin. Of with a budgetof $2000. Things have changed so much since the last time I build one so I was wondering what would y'all recommend.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GzPBHx Id go for something along these lines if you are inthe U.S. Only because 980 SLI has been proven many times to be better then a titan X.

Disk storage is a little much and I know a Titan x is complete overkill but fairly sound system 16 gig of ram is a little much I was thinking more like 8 feels kinda pointless to have more ram than I can use

A 1tb WD blue is 55. Go with the 2tb barracuda it will be a better cost-performance. 980 is all you will ever need just dont try to kill it and the i5 4690k should be plenty for a gaming system. and ssd is a must  if you are getting a system over 700. Put the os on it you will be thankful. S340 because you just dont have a 980 and no side windows. the 212 evo should keep you temps in 40-65 range depends on the load. And the psu you can change and what not just threw it in. ALSO get a dvd drive and card reader. i know its dumb but i use mine ALL THE TIME! Thats it I think. Let me know if I missed something

Yea. But.. You cant say with 980s in sli that I have a titan x. Just sayin. And at that point does it matter?? They are both great and both are overkill so I would get the 12gb of vram instead

Yes. I would go with one card just for compatibility. I know sli is cool and I use it but it was cost efficient in my case.

This has room for a 2nd GTX 970. You should be fine with one at 1080p though.

The 850W psu is the same price as the 750W G2 after rebate, so you might as well go with the higher wattage.

The price per performance for DDR4 is not worth it

Especially not for gaming, correct, but if you can push it, it's something to consider since it's a good platform to upgrade over the next years (imho).

Depends on they kind of money you think you'll want to invest in your baby (pc :P).
