so why is the older:

more expensive than than the:

less stock = more expensive

 

4790k is better

Plus the cheapest one is from Micro Center, You can literaly pick up a i7-5960 for $900

Newer probably a few thousand transitors more or smth. like this but the 4790k is still better

Not always, look at the 780(ti) for example, still pretty pricey in some places
