So I posted about this a few months ago but I couldn't find a fix and its annoying me too much to leave alone.

I have a SanDisk SSD that isn't the greatest but it used to run at over 400 mb/s and now it is capped at 250 mb/s. It is an MLC SSD so it shouldn't be anything like the 840 Evo, and I've tried plugging it into every SATA port to make sure it's using the Intel controller, but no luck, I looked it the BIOS settings but I didn't see anything noticeable and resetting the BIOS settings didn't help, it's really frustrating to have an SSD that is barely faster then a hard drive and Windows is much slower.

Help!

WelI I assume it's being bottlenecked somewhere

It's a SanDisk SDSSDP-128G-G25

Mine does about 250-350mb/s. They are quite slow SSDs, mine never did more.

That's what I was expecting tbh... the base model SanDisk SSD isn't a spectacular drive, and it's not coming as a surprise to me that performance is dropping over time. There may be other reasons contributing to the slowdown, but again I do suspect that the hardware itself may be one big reason.

Oh, dang... Maybe I need to upgrade,

I thought of purchasing a 2nd one to raid-0 it so its atleast a bit slower and i can put GTA V on it :P. I dont know if its a better idea to buy a new one, though mine is enough for booting etc.

Or just clone everything to the new drive and use the old ssd for games and still be better then a hard drive

You can get the 850 on sale for around the same price as those, but it doesn't make a huge difference i think.

Not really. 850 Pro is quite a big price difference.
