Does anyone listen to 70's rock that can suggest a new band/artist that I could listen to? I listen to a lot of music around that time period and genre, but I'm just looking for something other than what I've heard a lot before

I was about to suggest Black Sabbath, but I believe that's a little too obvious. May I make a suggestion, though? If you like 70's Rock, this particular album should appeal to you. It's by Slash, as a solo artist. It just came out at the end of 2014, and it kicks serious ass.

Hmm, it's interesting... it has a bit of a modern flare to it. Not sure if it's really my style.

I guess I wasn't very specific, I'm not much into real hard rock (with the exception of a few bands like Van Halen and Foo Fighters) but more into soft rock, more like Boston or Pink Floyd. Some 90's alt rock is good too

I think about all I can suggest is Orianthi, she's a Aussie guitarist/singer, played for Michael Jackson's last tour that never happened because he died, she was also part of Alice Coopers touring line up for 4 or so years, currently playing with Richie Sambora as his lead guitarist, she has also played with Carlos Santana, Vai, Steven Tyler, Slash, BB King, all of who have influenced her style some how and her music reflects that, something that I rather like. She's got 3 albums out, i'd recommend listening to her first & third albums, Violet Journey & Heaven In This Hell.
