Hello LTT forum!

I'm a new contributor to the LTT folding at home team, and lately I've been noticing that my does not seem to be doing it's job right.

My CPU (i5-4440) has been working just fine and has managed to pump out a decent 200 points over the 6 hours I let it run overnight while I was sleeping. I had it set to a light load since my GPU gets pretty noisy when at full load, and it only has Intel's stock cooler to keep it cool (which surprisingly did a good job. At 60% load overnight, it was at 55 degrees Celsius when I woke up)

My GPU (GTX 760) on the other hand is a different story. I've let it run for an hour or so on medium while I do my homework, and even though it's at full load, it did not seem to move over the time that i checked on it, completing a lousy 0.4% of it's assigned task. Unacceptable considering how much noise and heat it's making right beside me and doing pretty much nothing.

Can anyone give me some help here?

If it was on light folding then it won't make much headway in projects. Also it depends on the core of the workload given, core17 or core18 etc, i'm not sure of the specifics but some workloads take a lot longer to complete

When my GPU was contributing, it was doing so during a medium load. It was not contributing during a light load, since I cannot sleep with my loud GPU fans spinning that much only five feet away from me.

Make sure you check the WU it was working on. If a Core15, these can take a while. If you are stopping and starting the GPU folding frequently as well, that can also slow things down. :)

One thing, you can put the slider on Medium, so your GPU kicks in at night, but if the CPU is noisy, than, in the Advanced view, Pause the CPU slot. This way the GPU will keep folding.
