Looking for a $1500USD gaming build, would prefer to be low as possible.

Not gonna do any intensive stuff so a i5 4690K will be fine, will be mostly playing FSX at acceptable a FPS(50FPS or Higher at Medium and higher)

Already have monitor, KB, mouse and OS. Just need the desktop.

Will be OC the 4690K and upgrading to a 1440P/4K monitor in the future so that's why I choose a 8GB R9 290X.

Only buying from Newegg or Amazon.

Will be doing some White and Black scheme.

This is what I have in mind.

What's with the differently colored ram?

Accidently put Blue/White colored ram......was suppose to put Black/White ram.

You wouldn't see it anyway underneath such a large cooler. The differently colored ram also wouldn't work out that well with only 2 sticks.

I would personally wait until the new processors come out but if you can't wait, I would swap out the 500GB SSD for a 240GB and upgrade to an i7.

I currently have a 120GB SSD and store all my main programs on it, only a little half full.

blackshades on

Should I go with a CM Seidon 240M cooler instead? Don't really mind going from air to water as cooling solution.

Are you going for particularly high oc's? You could just go with a slimmer cooler in the first place. Is it just for looks?

Did you even read what I said, i7 isn't necessary because the PC wouldn't be running intensive tasks where HT would be helpful.

Slight OC, not much.

I could always go for a smaller cooler. I'm also looking at the Be Quiet Shadow Rock Slim, performs better than a 212 Evo and right around a U14S.

The SR Slim performs more similarly to the NH-u12s and not so much the u14s.

You could get a Pure Rock: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk009

Are you doing anything about the bright orange of the 290x?

Well, there isn't any R9 290X have a White/Black scheme. I could always paint the color scheme of the Tri X to white and black.

It could be a bit cheaper like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FWn4kL

Just $200 more for a lot of gaming performance increase

For a colour matched build it could go up a 50 bucks
