GTA 5 problems with Vsync

JorenBus

Hello all,

I've been using Vsync lately, but I've been having some issues with it.

I'm running a mix of high settings, but all the filters like MSAA, AA, etc are disabled.

When I disable Vsync, I get 80+ fps, without any framedrops below 60. However it's somehow pretty laggy, some sort of input lag.

When I enable Vsync, I usually get 60 fps, but drops down to 50-55 a lot, which doesn't make it a lot of fun.

So while my rig should be able to run these settings at 60+ fps all the time, I don't get the performance I want, if I use Vsync or not.

Any ideas?

Thanks

freesync

If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself.

I don't have a freesync monitor.

If you're using v-sync turn it off apply and then turn it on again every time you start the game and every time you alt+tab the game. Don't know why this is happening but it works for me.

Stops this random fps drops.
