So i'm overclocking my memory necause why not and so far ive gotten my memory to run up to 2400Mhz @ 13 13 13 28 2T with 1.8V and i'm just wondering do my timings seem a bit high or should they be higher for 2400mhz?

Final overclock ended up being 2000Mhz with timings 10 10 10 25 2T @ 1.65v

1.8v? Not exactly a good zone to be in and the timings aren't that great either.

Most memory IC's can handle voltages up to 1.9v just fine but normally are always reduced to 1.5-1.65v range. Besides what's the point of a heatsink if your not gonna use it lol.

1.65V is already quite high... You got 1.8V?

That is too much. Especially for only 2400MHz.

I can do 2133MHz on 1.5V with my RAM. CL 11 11 11 30 2T. I don't even have XMP profile. Default is 9 9 9 24 T1 1600MHz 1.5V.

This is just a quick and dirty OC to get the system to post i have a ton of tweaking to do before i can even come close to calling this final.

Dont overclock memory if you dont need too. And those timings are horrible and that voltage is insane

Timings aren't a porblem since i'm going for maximum memory bandwidth and yea I know 1.8v is allot but I'm going to drop it until it becomes unstable but i had problems posting at 1.75v so i jacked up the timings and voltage.

I know it's not that harmful, it's just that my pair of sticks get pretty warm from just plain 1.6v alone. Just be careful and keep them cool.
