Weird sound from computer

So i was out working today so i turned off my pc this morning and when i came home i turned my pc back on and there was a weird loud noise that kinda sounded like a fan spinning way to fast and actually i thought it was my HDD spinning alot but i unplugged it and turned it back on but it was still making that noise, so i turned it off and plugged it back in and it stopped making that noise and works fine now. So i was wondering if i should be worried about it or what?

I wouldn`t worry about it unless it becomes a frequent occurence or other issues occur with it.  Sometimes at start up the computer fans can spin up really fast for a brief period until the OS/hardware takes control of them.

 

My H80i cpu cooler does this on startup and will slow down to normal speed within 10 seconds.

Yeah my top exhaust fans spin scary fast on start up. I really wouldn't worry about it

It's most likely the pump. My Kraken x60 suffers from it occasionally. If that happens, shut down the system, wait for a bit and then turn it back on.
