Next week I'm planning on opening and cleaning out 3 laptops. I have bought an antistatic mat and wrist band. What's the best way to ground these? Is a esd ground plug adapter a good way? Thanks

Tbh, as long as you are grounded, it should be ok

I open my laptop's backeverywhere. My ram is failing and i have to seitch it once in awhile. I just make sure i touch a betal bar r something befor i handle it.

the ground plug adapter is a good idea, you can also use an alligator clip and clip it to a computer, as long as it's grounded

I usually open my laptop on my bed. They have the sensitive things so well covered for shock resistance that you are alight for just dusting them. If you do real work, do it on wooden table etc.
