Hi everyone,

I just upgraded to haswell, and am considering also getting a new case with usb 3.0 headers to take advantage. I have an original HAF 932 (The version with a bare metal interior, Bought it 3+ years ago) which I bought because it is easy for someone with big hands to work in and it had one of the better cable management systems around.

I know cases have come a long way since I bought the 932, so what cases do you guys think are the easiest to work in? Either full or mid tower.

I've considered the Fractal Define R4 with the window (its a real disappointment the XL doesn't come with a window) but I worry about going down to a mid tower case (My cable management is bad enough already  :D )

Any mid tower case with ample cable management holes should be fine. I have a full tower myself and it's pointlessly big. It looks nice I guess, but a mid-atx or even micro-atx build seems more practical since it can do almost everything the big guys can.

Just find a decent case you like and check the reviews on cable management problems. If there aren't any complaints, chances are that it's good.

Well the corsair 540 has a lot of cable management room and reviewers said it was a real easy case to work with.

did you consider that a define xl without window will be quieter than a windowed define r4 while looking cleaner (not having a scratched window) and you wont see the messy cables inside if you did a bad job inside.

or you could wait for the arc xl, it may come with a window.

I have looked at the define XL, I just wish it had a window (cable management on the back is terrible, in the front it's actually pretty good). I'd like to keep my next case for quite a while and eventually I'm going to try my hand at a custom loop, which I will want to show off. I will keep it in mind though, as a case window could be a relatively easy first case mod attempt.

The corsair rips anything and everything apart from fractal design in the cable management section, the fan noise only matters if you are a person that has the volume very low all of the time or if you sleep with the pc on and anyways you can limit the fans with a controller. Furthermore the fractal design cases have less air flow then that of a fractal design case. The 540 also has a stupidly large window and it looks quite badass where as the fractal cases are basically plastic or brushed aluminum with a baby blue led at the top infact they look a lot like a mini fridge.

I used the C70 for my first build and cable management and component installation was very easy for a first timer. This case offers great airflow imo.

600T is a great case with a lot of room. I'm looking forward to replacing my 600T with a Corsair 540 real soon.

haha, good one. CM HAF XB looks like you can just plop all your cables in the bottom section (read a review that it can become a real "rats nest", hehe eww!)

Besides that, Corsair C70 for me was really easy to work with. 24-pin cable was easy to route. My cable management was real lazy with this case and it STILL ended up looking amazing from the front. I didn't use any zip ties, just the cable holders that came with the case, which work very well. It does have a tinted window, but some have complained that they'd rather have wanted a complete window with no vents. It has vents on the window the allow the option to mount two 120 or 140mm fans.
