My mobo will be a z97 msi krait sli edtion  so i will go with the 980

should i get a 2 970s in sli or 1 980 non sli

970 SLI hands down.

What are you going to be doing? If you were to go with 980 would you plan on SLI with that later?

I would go for the 980.


 


  • Some games don't support SLI which then you would receive the power of one 970
  • You need a motherboard that supports SLI
  • Power consumption is less with the 980
  • Heat output is less with a 980
  • The 980 also leaves more room for upgrades in the future
  • Remember the 970 SLI costs almost $100 more
