I have a 9590 (obviously)  and i Hate this stupid thing.

Not Because of performance, the performance is awesome. But the Dam thermals are just stupid hot.

I'm running a dedicated Liquid Loop for just this processor and on hot days in my area it almost hits 90F in an air conditioned room and the computer hits 80C.

It's pretty bad if I've only had this thing for a little over a year and i'm already sick of putting up with it

I'm thinking of either selling it or gutting most of it and making it my new server.

My question is about the new Skylake i5. Should I Wait for the Skylake i5 or just get a 4690k?

This build is going to be a 100% watercooled ITX build, No Parts have really been decided yet other that the CPU Block.

You'll not see a huge performance bump from 4690k to Broadwell to Skylake. It's all mainly less power consumption and stuff. If you are really really full of that 9590 then get the 4690k. If you can wait till fall then go skylake. But beware, summer is coming.

You are better off by waiting, but a challenge will unfold soon... the summer!

Maybe try another thermal paste, maybe even turn down the clocks a little bit (as well as voltage), so you can stay in a comfort zone without frying anything. Once the new CPUs are released (soon, hopefully), you can sell that sucker to someone else to deal with it.
