I'm getting ready to strike out on my own in a year or so, and I realized I don't have any of my own repair or toolkits. I've heard of the iFixIt Pro toolkit, but I can't seem to find any information about the driver heads being magnetic. I know how much of a pain it can be to maneuver screws in and out of ITX builds without a magnetic head, so I refuse to get a non-magnetic kit. Does anyone have a favored brand/kit with magnetic drivers for PC building and other general tool usage?

The Ifixit kit is extremely expensive for what it is. Only get it if you work with phones or other things that are meant to be taken apart often. A simple screwdriver with a bitset will be plenty for most PC builders. I got mine for $10 and I got some torx bits for $8.

As an owner of a Macbook Pro and knowing how often I run into exotic bits in the dumbest places, I'm willing to spend some money on quality parts and flexibility all in one set, but if you have an alternate product, I'm willing to hear about it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the iFixit kit is magnetic.

Think about the tiny little screws in mobile devices. Without a magnet they wouldn't magically go in again.

That's the thing, if you have those kind of products you kind of have to pony up for the ifixit kit or just buy a ton of bits separately. It's one of the reasons I stick to PC.

It wasn't by choice. The predecessor researcher for my master's thesis project decided to develop the base application for the iPad under Objective C, so in order to build upon it I have to have XCode with me at all times. I'm far from happy with the purchase, though I have to admit the color reproduction on a Macbook is SO vibrant compared to what I was used to.
