Overclock Issues - GTX 980 X 2

Hello everyone,

 

I recently added a second 980 to my system and was pretty happy with the performance. I decided to try overclocking the cards and started having issues:

 

1. Color artifacts running any Fire Strike benchmark

2. Games like Far Cry 4 just stopped responding and produced a black screen after about 5 minutes of game play

 

I use EVGA Precision X and my settings are as follows:

 

Power Target         110%

GPU Clock Offset  +100MHz

Mem Clock Offset  +100MHz

 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

First step is checking temperatures and seeing if they are ok.  You haven't mentioned your temperatures.

you might just have bad overclockers, yay silicon lottery.

Back down the overclock this is common when you have pushed the 

overclock to far 

 

Also try adding more voltage to see if it fixes the problem
